What is Issue 22?

Issue 22 is a renewal of the existing 8.25-mill Fire/EMS levy that funds Washington Township’s emergency services. This is not a tax increase. Originally passed in 2010, the levy provides approximately $18.35 million annually to maintain full staffing, quick emergency response times, and top-rated fire and EMS services in Dublin.

Why it matters

No New Taxes: Issue 22 is a renewal—voting YES will not increase your taxes.

Continued Excellence: The levy supports our ISO Class 1 fire department (top 1% nationally) and nationally accredited emergency services.

Proven Fiscal Responsibility: The township has responsibly managed fire department funding without raising taxes in over 15 years, recently we invested over $4.4 million in new fire engines, ambulances, and lifesaving equipment.

• Fast Response Times – Average EMS response of 5½ minutes—well below national averages.

Voting YES on Issue 22 ensures continued exceptional emergency services and fast response times without raising taxes.
